Names, employers and results in the samples are invented; the regulations, standards and systems are real.

Why these work

Designed for the software that reads resumes first, and the people who read them next.

Read cleanly by applicant tracking systems

One column in reading order, standard section names, and no tables, text boxes or details hidden in the page header. Tracking software reads them top to bottom, the way you wrote them.

Written for the role, not filled with filler

Every sample is a realistic resume for its job type: the submissions, standards and systems hiring managers screen for, with results stated as numbers. Replace the details and keep the structure.

Real Word styles, easy to make yours

Name, section headings, roles and bullets each use a proper Word style, so one change in the Styles pane restyles the whole document.

A PDF that matches the Word file

Every PDF is exported by Microsoft Word from the same file, so what you preview is what you print. Use it to see the layout, or send your finished resume as a PDF.

Make it yours

From template to interview in three steps.

  1. Pick the closest job type

Choose by the job you want next, not the one you have. A quality engineer moving into regulatory starts from Clearance or Dossier.

  2. Replace every sample detail

Keep the section order and the shape of each bullet: what you did, what it was for, and what changed because of it.

  3. Tailor it to each posting

Mirror the posting's own words for pathways, regulations and systems you really know. Save as PDF unless the employer asks for Word.

What regulatory and quality hiring managers look for

  • Name the pathway and the outcome: "510(k) cleared in 92 days" says more than "supported submissions".
  • Cite the regulation or standard you worked to (21 CFR 820, ISO 14971, ICH E6(R3), EU MDR) wherever it is true.
  • Count what you own: submissions, approvals, audits, CAPAs, sequences, systems validated, people managed.
  • Put inspection results in plainly. "No Form 483" is one of the strongest lines a quality resume can carry.
  • Keep certifications (RAC, CQA, CQE, CCRA) near the top for early-career roles and with education for senior ones.
  • One page until about ten years of experience; two pages for director and above.

Questions, answered

As of October 25, 2026, Regulatory Jobs offers 10 free resume templates for regulatory affairs, quality and compliance roles in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices: five for regulatory affairs, four for quality and compliance, and one for directors and above. Each comes as an editable Word file and a PDF exported by Word, and downloads free with a candidate profile.

Are the resume templates free?

Yes. All ten are free for anyone with a Regulatory Jobs candidate profile, which is also free. Create a profile, or sign in, and download any template in Word or PDF as often as you like.

Will these templates get through applicant tracking systems?

They are built for it: a single column in reading order, standard section headings, real text rather than images, and no tables, text boxes or contact details in the page header or footer. Keep it that way as you edit.

Can I edit them in Google Docs or Pages?

Upload the Word file to Google Drive and open it with Google Docs, or open it in Pages. They are designed in Microsoft Word, so check the layout after importing; if a typeface is missing, pick a similar one from the font menu.

Which template should I choose?

Start from the job you are applying for. Launch is for a first regulatory role, Dossier for pharma and biotech regulatory affairs, Clearance for medical devices, Molecule for CMC, Sequence for regulatory operations, Release for GMP quality assurance, Design Control for device quality engineering, Protocol for clinical quality and GCP, Validated for CSV and data integrity, and Executive for directors and above.
