Bali, Indonesia
Founder’s Story
How five years in Bali, a scooter, some very opinionated monkeys and one stubborn question became RegulatoryJobs.com.

The office, for five years. Wi-Fi not guaranteed.

The unlikely office
You probably don’t picture Bali.
When you think about regulatory affairs, you probably picture FDA submissions, quality systems, strategy meetings and endless documentation.
You probably don’t picture Bali, Indonesia. But that’s where the idea behind RegulatoryJobs.com began taking shape.
For five years, I called Bali home: thousands of miles from the corporate offices, manufacturing plants and regulatory agencies that had defined most of my career.

Coworkers with opinions
The locals had opinions. Loud ones.
Bali has a way of rearranging your priorities. The pace slows down. The jungle gets louder. And the neighbors are less interested in your résumé than in whatever you left on the table.
Far from the conference rooms, there was finally room to think about the profession itself, not just the next submission.

The question
A question that wouldn’t leave.
Somewhere between building a life on the other side of the world and looking back on more than a decade in regulatory affairs, at the FDA, in medical device companies and as a consultant, I kept coming back to one question:
Why doesn’t our profession have a career platform that truly belongs to us?

Precision, meet imprecision
We bring the world’s most important innovations to market.
Life-saving medical devices. Breakthrough pharmaceuticals. Emerging biotechnologies. Regulatory and quality professionals navigate the regulations, manage the risk and build the quality systems that get them to the patients who need them.
Yet when it’s time to find our next role, we search the same massive, general-purpose job boards as everyone else.
For a profession built around precision, our career search felt remarkably imprecise.

The big think
What if it became a community?
What if there were a platform built only for regulatory and quality professionals?
- Every opportunity in pharma, biotech and medical devices, in one place
- Companies and career paths you can actually explore
- Learning from people who know the work
- A community that understands what you do
Another LinkedIn Another Indeed
I didn’t want to build another LinkedIn or another Indeed. I wanted something focused. Something that understood our profession from the inside, and could grow alongside the community it was made to serve.

Today
That idea became RegulatoryJobs.com.
Today we’re building a dedicated career platform for regulatory affairs and quality professionals across the life sciences. And we’re just getting started.
Sometimes you have to step outside your industry to see what it’s missing.
To everyone in regulatory affairs and quality: this is being built for you, and I want your voice to help shape what it becomes. Tell me what you wish existed for our profession.
Regulatory & Quality Careers. Rewired.
